ESRB Ratings: Water Warfare

posted 15 Jun 2009 05:18 by Knuckles Sonic8

Just after Water Warfare (one of the most anticipated WiiWare games for this summer) got rated by PEGI in Europe this past week, Water Warfare now gets an ESRB Rating for North America! This is great news! It's very likely that we could very well see the game this month or next! It's also worth noting that the Japanese release was delayed and whilst the delay pushed the release back a bit, during that time, Hudson was able to add in leaderboards as well. Here's the summary for Water Warfare provided by the ESRB:

  • "This is a water gun combat game in which players shoot at opponents with a variety of water-based weapons (super-soaker guns, water pistols, water machine guns, etc.). Presented from a first-person perspective, the game allows players to target objects in training mode, then battle human opponents in matches and missions (e.g., "Treasure Chest" and "Death Match"). Most battles take place in "cartoony" settings such as beaches, playgrounds, and parks. "Water fire" often makes a fantastical popping/shooting sound, while opponents sometimes blink or jerk their bodies back when hit by the water."
