From what I can gather thus far, Camping Mama: Outdoor Adventures seems to carry some of the elements that molded the experience in Crafting Mama. But instead of doing indoor rainy day activities, you're now venturing into the great outdoors. The press release confirms that you'll collect bugs, go cave-exploring, and do some other fun stuff.
However, the most interesting detail in that whole announcement is the confirmation that there's now a "Papa" character added to the franchise. Mama's marriage is news to me! Aren't you so happy for her? But something tells me hearing "Better zan Papa!" won't have quite the same effect. Still, I suppose it's somewhat commendable to see Majesco trying to move the series forward, especially now that they're doing more than just accepting that male gamers do enjoy these games. I personally think this new direction feels a little tired to say the least, but at this point, who's to say this doesn't have the potential to do well? Keep an eye out for more details surrounding Mama's latest departure on the DS this week at E3.
