What are these rewards you ask?

Gold Members get a "Club Nintendo Original Calendar" for the 2010 year. The hat itself is made of polyester and cotton and the dimensions are approximately 8" 1/2 for width, 10" 1/2 in length, and 5" in height. How exciting!

The second choice is a little more unexpected! "Doc Louis's Punch-Out!!" -- an exclusive WiiWare download that is only available to Platinum members! Nintendo even claims that like the G&W Collection, "this gift will not be available anywhere else"! The first is a title we haven't heard anything about until now. The game is known as "Best Friends Tonight" and it's quite likely this is a DS title to go alongside their other casual titles such as those of the Imagine series. The game is a "social simulation game" that's been rated E10+ for "Comic Mischief and Mild Suggestive Themes". What else does the summary have to say about it?

"This is a social simulation game in which players assume the role of young girl who becomes the producer of a TV show for teenagers. Players interact with crew and cast members by boosting their morale, working on projects for the TV show, and engaging in small talk. Text-based conversations sometimes reference flirting, dating, and kissing (e.g., "he's smart and talented and has perfect kissing lips" and "I guess I'm the only one who can help Penny overcome her kissing obsession."). Characters sometimes use insulting speech (e.g., "loserbag," "psycho," and "stupid jerk face idiot") and make jokes about burping, spitting, and emitting foul smells (e.g., "I wish I could ignore your PUTRID stench" and "TV Producers STINK like FOOT CHEESE!")."

The next title that's been rated is the DS iteration of Where's Waldo: The Fantastic Journey, the very first Where's Waldo game. The game's not due for a bit longer and it's interesting that only the DS version was rated even though is was a multi-platform release which implies that the other versions probably have different gameplay than the DS version. The DS version has been rated Everyone for "Animated Blood and Comic Mischief". Here's what ESRB said in their summary:

"This is a puzzle game, based on the Where's Waldo? series of children's books, in which players search for Waldo in a series of elaborately complex images. Players must scan through pictures of fire-breathing creatures, magic carpet riders, knights in battle, red monks fighting blue monks, wizards, and (of course) vampires. In one scene, a group of soldiers is seen lying on the ground after battle, with "dizzy stars" swirling above their heads. In another image, several vampires hold mugs filled with "red liquid" (implied to be blood) while waiters bring them more of the red beverage."

Two game show-based games have also been rated by the ESRB: the 2010 Edition's for Family Feud and The Price Is Right. Both have been rated E for Everyone but both have different descriptors. Family Feud 2010 Edition contains "Alcohol and Tobacco Reference, Comic Mischief, and Mild Suggestive Themes". Obviously this content stems from the questions themselves as confirmed by the summary:

"Based on the TV game show Family Feud, this game challenges players to find the most popular answers to survey questions. Players must find better answers than their opponents in an attempt to earn their way to the "Fast Money" bonus round. Out of the thousands of possible questions and answers, a handful may contain references to beer, wine, and cigarettes (e.g., Q: "Name an odor that's so distinct, you know right away what it is." A: "cigarette smoke"). A few questions discuss suggestive material (e.g., Q: "Name something you wouldn't want to have two of." A: "Spouses/Lovers"); bodily functions/noises may also be referenced (e.g., flatulence and vomiting)."

The Price Is Right 2010 Edition has only "Alcohol Reference" as an additional descriptor due to the showcase products that are shown off during gameplay. The summary states:

"This is a game based on the TV game show The Price is Right. Players can participate in a variety of "pricing games" to win prizes and earn their way to the final round. Showcase vignettes sometimes reference alcohol products (e.g., "non stop champagne flights" and "your favorite Chardonnay")."

<sites:pageName>esrbratingsfamilyfeud2010andmorefromubisoft</sites:pageName><sites:revision>1</sites:revision>

ESRB Ratings: Women's Murder Club: Games of Passion, Style Savvy

Two of Nintendo's upcoming first-party DS titles have been rated by the ESRB recently. First we have Women's Murder Club: Games of Passion. The game has been rated Teen for "Alcohol Reference, Blood and Mild Violence". The summary sheds some light on the reasons behind their rating:

"This is a seek-and-find mystery game in which players search for specific items/clues on a screen full of objects. The story revolves around a string of murders committed against beautiful women in various locations around San Francisco. Images of victims' bodies and the circumstances surrounding their death are depicted in still-frame panels. Players must visit the crime scenes to gather clues, interrogate witness and suspects, and solve various mini-game puzzles (e.g., chemical analysis, matching fibers, and running ballistics) to analyze the evidence and find the killer. Some murder scenes depict red bloodstains on the ground or faint streaks of blood smeared on walls and floors. During the course of the game, the protagonist-investigators discuss getting together for dinner with alcoholic beverages (e.g., "An evening with you guarantees a morning hangover," "I've got the champagne on the way," and "You don't have to drink all three shots at once!").

Style Savvy has also been rated by the ESRB but with no additional descriptors. The summary is pretty concise by stating:

"This is a simulation game in which players assume the role of a clothing store employee trying to make her mark on the world of fashion. Players can assist customers in coordinating and purchasing clothes, put together their own outfits, and even enter fashion competitions."

It's still quite some time before we see Style Savvy but Women's Murder Club will be heading our way sooner, around Fall of this year

<sites:pageName>esrbratingswomensmurderclubgamesofpassionstylesavvy</sites:pageName><sites:revision>1</sites:revision>

The Three Musketeers: One for All coming soon!

Legendo, the developers of the upcoming platformer, The Three Musketeers: One for All have confirmed that the game will be releasing in all regions very soon. They also both have the wi-fi connection logo, as well as the disgusting new green PEGI image.

Watch the first trailer here on WiiloveitTV

Watch the E3 2009 trailer here on WiiloveitTV

<sites:pageName>newmarioandsoniceuropeanboxartandreleasedatesconfirmed</sites:pageName><sites:revision>2</sites:revision>

Virtual Console / WiiWare Download Charts

Here's a new feature that we're just giving a spin looking at the latest Virtual Console and WiiWare charts in the UK. On the Monday morning before the update was revealed on Press Nintendo, ESRB published a rating of Impossible Mission for the Commodore 64 which marks the second time that game has been rated. This implies that the game will be seeing release if not in the next update, probably in the first update for the month of August.

Also, Monkey Island: Episode 1 has been rated by the ESRB for both PC and WiiWare but we've still not been given any details on when we can expect the WiiWare release. The summary explains:

"This is an adventure game in which players follow the exploits of the pirate Guybrush Threepwood as he explores Flotsam Island and attempts to rescue his wife. The majority of gameplay involves interacting with pirates, exploring ships and islands, and following the irreverent storyline. Players complete a series of quests that are often accompanied by humorous antics and dialogue: the central character plants a "cartoony" bomb in a pair of underwear; a man says he has "gluteal acne"; a man accidentally punches himself and others; a character is accused of having "broken wind." One quest involves meeting a "Voodoo Lady" who has exaggerated-sized, jiggling breasts and who talks about her former boyfriend (e.g., "He fell in love with my voodoo charms and my supple-"). There are bottles labeled "grog" throughout a pirate ship, and grog is also referenced in conversation (e.g., "…light grog: it's just like real grog except without the taste, calories, or debilitating blackouts"). It's nice to see them spending a little more time tightening up some of the loose ends of the game to ensure it'll make for a good release. As a prediction, expect to see it next week or the week after. A big step is that they've been granted approval for DLC support and so work has started on that. There are roughly "two dozen" bugs that needs to be ironed out before they can release it. Thankfully, these have been claimed to be minor ones and the fact that it's clocking in at 60 FPS shows that these bugs aren't game-breaking. Here are all the ones to keep your eyes on!

Mr. Driller W has been rated for WiiWare as of yesterday, confirming that it is, indeed, coming soon to the WiiWare service. As for the DSiWare version, nothing has shown up just yet but it's to be expected that it'll show up soon after the WiiWare release. The game has been tagged with a "Comic Mischief" descriptor with the following summary:

"This is a puzzle game in which players guide a small character down a vertical shaft as he/she drills through colored blocks. Blocks can sometimes fall on the drillers, causing them to blink and get squished. A "cartoony" angel floats above the driller to indicate that the player has failed."

Magnetis has also been rated by the ESRB and given that a new gameplay trailer has recently been released by the developers, it's logical to conclude that the game is nearly finished so be on the lookout for that as well. No further descriptors were tagged onto this rating.

Arkanoid Plus! is the next Taito game that has been rated by the ESRB. Recently, Bust-a-Move/Puzzle Bobble Wii was released in Europe so it's logical to conclude that we'll get that before Arkanoid but who knows, maybe we'll get them in the same update? Given the motif of the game, it shouldn't be a big surprise to see it got the descriptor of "Mild Fantasy Violence" and that mostly stems from the bosses one has to fight. Notice the summary:

"This is a puzzle game in which players bounce a small ball at arrangements of colored bricks to clear a game board. Each set of puzzles contains a different collection of blocks and background graphics. In some parts of the game, players must bounce the ball at enemy boss creatures (e.g., crystal skulls, white statues) that briefly explode when defeated."

Here's a title we haven't heard about in ages! Tumblebugs 2! We knew this was confirmed for WiiWare since around Summer/Fall of last year. Finally we're seeing it come out of its shell! Let's hope this means we can expect a summer release for this little guy!

"Tumblebugs 2 is a strategy game in which players match colored balls, or 'bugs,' in order to clear a series of levels before the balls disappear into holes. Power-ups allow players to remove large numbers of bugs or to control the flow of bugs along the board."

Next up, we got two Natsume games stepping up to the plate soon! Moki Moki is first, and the summary describes it this way.

"This is a puzzle game in which players guide tiny, pink creatures through a series of colorful mazes. In some levels, creatures can be squished by moving platforms or swallowed by small blob-like monsters. A popping sound and "yelps" can be heard as creatures are squished."

Let's hope this one is more unique than it sounds!

Harvest Moon: My Little Shop is the next Natsume game to be rated by the ESRB. This also comes as no surprise since they were aiming for a Summer release on this one. The biggest question on people's minds is how they'll price it? Will they still market it as 1,200 Points even with the additional DLC? Time will tell. For now, the summary sheds a bit more light on the gameplay.

"This is a simulation game in which players assume the role of a young child who is sent to help manage her grandparents' shop. Players can grow fruits and vegetables, make ice cream cones, and decorate eggs to sell at the shop."

Not to be confused with Nintendo's own six-in-one translator app on DSiWare, the ESRB has also published a summary for Just in Time Translations for the DS. "Mild Suggestive Themes" and "Alcohol and Tobacco References" are tagged on this one for obvious reasons. Just in case it isn't so obvious, here's the summary:

"This is language translation application in which users can learn essential phrases that can be useful for traveling abroad. Users can translate words and phrases from the following languages: English, German, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, French, and Italian. Phrases are grouped into sections such as "Romance," "Nightlife," "Shopping," and "Leisure." Some phrases in the game contain suggestive content (e.g., "Have you ever thought about kissing all night" and "Why don't you just hold me all night long") or references to alcohol and tobacco (e.g., "You are drunk" and "Do you have any cigarettes?")."

If only we'd get a confirmation for the six-in-one translation app by Nintendo for North America or Europe!

So, there you have it! Question is, which one of these will come out first? Either way, it's great to see that some of these are well on their way to being placed on the service hopefully sometime this summer!

<sites:pageName>esrbratingsjuly3rd</sites:pageName><sites:revision>2</sites:revision>

Carnival King announced for WiiWare

The developers of Target Toss Pro: Bags (Incredible Technologies) have recently announced a new arcade shooter for the WiiWare service!
