I logged into the system today to find a whole slew of Post-Play surveys stemming from Wii/DSi Shop Downloads in the last little while. That's when I thought something was up: I just got You, Me and the Cubes last week and it's already in my to-do list? How can that be? Normally, it would take 4 weeks or more for the post-play survey to appear. After doing some digging, I've uncovered that Nintendo has secretly updated the Club Nintendo system and has made it so that post-play surveys arrive at a faster rate. In connection with this, they've also updated the FAQ according under the "Product Registration" section, as shown below:
Wii Shop Channel games and Wii ChannelsSelect Wii Shop Channel games and Wii Channels released prior to December 2008 are eligible for Post Play Surveys only. See "Games Released Prior to December 2008" below for a list of the eligible titles. These surveys will appear in your To-Do List 7 days after the download. Your Wii Shop Channel must be linked to your Club Nintendo account to ensure Wii Shop Channel games and Wii Channels appear in your To-Do list.

There's also a blurb in the FAQ indicating that this applies to retail titles as well!
