When it comes to gameplay videos and Nintendo Channel footage on the internet, NintenDaan is clearly one of the best when it comes to uploading videos onto YouTube, if not THE best. Sadly, though, he has now been suspended from YouTube, as he discovered when he attempted to log into his account on the popular website this morning. This comes after his channel was recently hit with bad news when he discovered that one of his videos had been removed, and he was warned that his channel might be removed if he persists. Obviously deterred by this, he swiftly removed some of his Nintendo Channel videos and even started a new channel entitled NintenDaanNC to post his Nintendo Channel videos on seperate to his normal channel, hopefully ensuring that all his gameplay videos would not be removed. Sadly, this was not the case, and his standard channel NintenDaan has as of today been suspended from YouTube. "The suspension of my account is a real smack in the face", tells Daan as he recounts what it felt like to discover that his account was suspended. "I started doing videos back June 2008 to tell people about the best Nintendo releases: from the DSi to Animal Crossing and of course tons of downloadables, and the 'First Looks' I made helped some people along the way." Despite this, he is still unsure how he will go forth with creating videos from now on."Well, the NC channel [youtube.com/NintenDaanNC] is still running so I won't quit with that channel. I may upload all the First Looks again on a new channel and publish new ones every week in addition to other new material". Daan has now set up a third channel entitled NintenDaan1, which appears to be a replacement for his normal account, but only time will tell what becomes of the original and all of his old videos. We offer our condolences to Daan, and we can only begin to imagine all the work he put into his videos before this fiasco. Prior to the suspension, the NintenDaan channel recently managed to reach 1000 subscribers and gained a total of over 1000 videos, which may now all be lost without explanation. We'll keep you updated on further developments, and for now wish Daan good luck into whatever he decides to pursue in future. |
